6 months, blood, sweat, untold amounts of money, one lost chicken, countless mosquito bites and an endless battle with a determined groundhog for this…our first egg

Chickens!

We did it. We built the coop, we secured the area, and we acquired 3 chickens (a Rhode Island Red named Popcorn, an Australorp named Frank and a Barred Plymouth Rock named Bach) Now we wait and watch as they grow, eat, poop and generally do funny chicken things until we, hopefully, get eggs in the Fall.
